BrokerBud is an Android app that helps real-estate agencies follow up on their leads, and this website, www.brokerbud.in. This notice explains what each one collects, why, who processes it for us, and what you can ask us to do.
Whose data, and who decides
An agency that uses BrokerBud decides which of its customers go into the app and what is recorded about them. For that customer information we act on the agency’s behalf and only on its instructions. For the accounts of the agency’s team, and for anything you send us through this website, we are responsible.
What the app holds
About the agency’s team:
- Your name, the email address you sign in with, your role and your agency.
- The work you record in BrokerBud: notes, follow-ups, site visits and deals, each with who recorded it and when.
About the agency’s customers (its leads):
- Name, phone number, where the lead came from, and what they are looking for, such as budget, location and the kind of property.
- The notes, follow-ups, visits and deals the team records about them, including voice notes (below).
The app does not read the phone’s contacts, call history, messages, WhatsApp chats or other recordings. Tapping Call opens the phone’s own dialler; BrokerBud does not record or listen to the call.
Voice notes
The microphone is used only while a team member records a note, and only after they tap to start. The recording is uploaded to private storage. A speech-to-text model writes down what was said, and a second model proposes details from those words, such as a budget or the date of the next call.
A person confirms or corrects every proposed detail before it is saved. The models cannot contact a customer, hand a lead to someone, mark a lead qualified or close a deal. We do not use the agency’s customer information to train models, and we do not sell it.
Google Sheets and Google Drive
An agency’s manager can choose to connect a Google account, so that BrokerBud can bring in leads from a Google Sheet, or from a CSV or Excel file kept in Google Drive. Nobody else in the agency can connect one, and the app works without it.
When the manager connects, BrokerBud asks Google for read-only access:
- Your Google account’s email address, so the app can show which account is connected.
- See your Google Sheets spreadsheets, to read the sheet the manager picks.
- See and download your Google Drive files, to list spreadsheets and CSV or Excel files by name so the manager can tap theirs, and to read a CSV or Excel file the manager picks.
How BrokerBud uses that access:
- It reads only the file and tab the manager picks, and only when the manager taps Sync. It copies the columns the manager matched (such as phone, name, source and what the person asked for) into the agency’s BrokerBud as leads.
- It never creates, changes, deletes or shares anything in Google. The access it asks for cannot write.
- The access token is kept encrypted on our server, never on the phone, and is used for nothing except reading the file the manager chose.
- Information from Google is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to train models. People at BrokerBud do not look at it, except with the agency’s permission to help them, for security, or where the law requires it.
BrokerBud’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
To disconnect, the manager opens Google Sheet in the app and taps Disconnect. BrokerBud then revokes its access with Google and deletes the stored token and the account’s email address. Leads already brought in stay in the agency’s BrokerBud. You can also remove BrokerBud’s access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access page.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: the database, sign-in, file storage and server functions. The project is hosted in Mumbai.
- Groq: speech-to-text for voice notes, and proposing details from a note’s words. Its servers may be outside India.
- Google: Sheets and Drive, only when a manager connects them, as described above.
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Resend: delivers demo requests from this website to our team’s email inbox.
Each receives only what it needs to do that job. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
This website
If you ask for a demo, we receive your name, agency, phone number, team size, where your leads are kept, any note you add and your consent, with the page you sent it from and any campaign tags in its address (such as utm_source or an ad click ID). We use it only to contact you about BrokerBud.
The site has no analytics or advertising cookies. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser. Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
How we protect it
- Everything travels encrypted, over HTTPS.
- Each agency’s data is separated on the server, not only in the app, so one agency can never see another’s.
- Voice recordings are kept in private storage, never at a public link.
- When we need to look at an agency’s account to help them, that access is limited in time, tied to a stated reason, and logged.
How long we keep it
- Customer records, notes and their history are kept while the agency uses BrokerBud, so the team can see what was said and promised.
- For voice recordings, we are agreeing a fixed deletion period with the agencies we work with, and will state it here once it is set.
- When an agency stops using BrokerBud, it can ask for a copy of its data and for the data to be deleted.
- Demo requests are kept only as long as we need them to follow up with you.
What you can ask us
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave. Write to guptapriyansh202@gmail.com. If you are an agency’s customer, you can also ask the agency directly; we will help them answer.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
BrokerBud is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
